17.5" WIDE Encore Flapless Dressage Saddle #8531 in Black Buffalo and Doeskin with Dark Brown Patent Accents
This is an extra wide 17.5” Encore dressage saddle with very light wear, but a minor scuff on the back of the cantle creating the discount (zoom in on the photo of the rear, and check out the top right). This saddle has lots of upgrades, including black real buffalo leather leather skirts with a custom (and very grippy!) doeskin seat, carbon fiber cantle insert, and dark brown patent weltings and facings. This saddle has sewn in (not adjustable) Short Zen Thigh Blocks, which are set at an angle suitable for many riders; they are also set rather high, for maximum support at the top of the thigh, the block is complemented by the 4-position adjustable stirrup bar, which allows the rider to change the way the thigh meets the block by moving stirrup leathers forward or backward.
This saddle has a much wider than average tree size and shape, with 14” points, and 103/143 angles. This is a size and shape that will fit XW horses that have low withers are are broad at the base of the withers; to try this saddle, we require recent tracings of your horse’s back to verify the tree fit before shipping the saddle to you. Often, the tree can be custom-shaped to fit your horse, if your horse’s measurements are near the tree shape of this saddle.

Details:
When you purchase this saddle in our store, the shipment will be held until you have provided current tracings of your horse, so that the tree can be properly sized. We recommend taking and sending the tracings in advance of your purchase, if possible.
The saddle will be held for no more than 7 days to confirm tree sizing; if your tracings are not received during that timeframe, the saddle will either be shipped to you without custom sizing, or it will be returned to stock, and your payment, less a $35 processing fee, will be refunded.
Once your tracings have been received, the saddle will be sized and assembled in a customized fitting for your horse. If our workshop experts determine that the tree does not suit your horse, the sale will be cancelled, and 100% of your payment will be refunded.
If the saddle tree has been verified for your horse, we will ship the saddle to you, and schedule a 30-minute remote/video fitting assessment session with you to verify the fit and settings.
After your fit has been checked by us, you will start riding in the saddle, and verifying that it meets your needs and fits your horse.
At any point in the first 14 days, you may return the saddle for a 100% refund, no questions asked.
After the 14th day, and until the 30th day, you may return the saddle for a full refund less $150/week which will be assessed as a use fee.
After the 30th day, the saddle is not returnable.
As a used/demo saddle, this saddle is sold “as is”, though there is a one-year warranty on the tree, starting with your date of purchase.
