Velcro Upgrade Kit for EQ Saddles
Why a velcro upgrade kit?
If your discs are not holding your saddle together, it is likely that the loop velcro surface on the bottom of your saddle (and/or the tops of your panels) needs to be replaced. The material on the discs looks like hook, but is actually “mushroom head”, which grips the loop material intensely, and makes it safe to ride on a velcro-mounted saddle.
Over time, as discs are removed and repositioned to adjust saddle fit, the loop material may be weakened when separated from the mushroom head hook. For safety reasons, it is critically important to upgrade your velcro as soon as there is any sign of a weakened attachment.
A velcro upgrade kit consists of two pieces of velcro that match the pattern of the plates on the bottom of your saddle. You’ll need to select your saddle model when ordering.
Every velcro upgrade includes our remote guidance to help you install the new velcro while returning your saddle’s settings to the same postion as before. The only tools that you will need are a phillips screwdriver, and the spatula and disc guard which came with your saddle.
If you need to refit your saddle at the same time that you upgrade the velcro, consider purchasing a remote saddle fitting session as well. If this is your choice, we will begin with a saddle fitting assessement, note new fitting settings, then guide you through adjusting the saddle while you install the new velcro.
Allow 20-30 minutes for your velcro installation session without a refitting.
