Adjustable Stirrup Bar Safety Latch Tensioner
Our adjustable stirrup bar has a set screw at the base of the safety latch to allow the tension of the latch to be increased or decreased, in accordance with rider preference. This 3mm hex key allows you to easily loosen or tighten the tension of the safety latch, making it easier or more difficult to open.
By definition, the safety latch is designed to open in the event of a rider’s fall to diminish the possibility of the rider’s foot being caught in the stirrup while it is still attached to the saddle and horse. Overtightening the safety latch may prevent it from operating as designed.
